Welcome to our 8th Season of USFL2K Fantasy Football.

The USFL2K fantasy football league you are looking at is run differently than most of the other leagues currently out there, with other leagues you assume the role of the head coach, you trade, draft and sign free agents for your team, but you need to purchase software to play head to head games over the internet at a time you and your opponent agree upon.

As I started to say before this league is run a little different, you do not need to buy any software or contact your opponent to arrange a time to play your head to head weekly games, but you can still have all the fun and excitement as you match your experience against other GM's and lead your team to the Memorial Bowl against your archrival. You take the reigns of your team as the GM (General Manager); you trade, draft, sign free agents to contracts and submit your starting line-up all through the league commissioner. Games are then played per the schedule by the commissioner and the results and stats are posted on the website the day after the game. Your starting line-up must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to game time to allow the commissioner time to update your team. You are also required to adjust your starting line-up for any injured players you may have for that upcoming game.

Here is a quick sample of how the season flows. After the Memorial Bowl in early July each GM has 2 months, August and September to resign any players whose contracts have expired. Starting in mid October the rookie draft is held, takes about a week. The season gets started in mid February and will run until early July. In between times the GM's can trade or search for that free agent player that could be next season's MVP.

If all this sound interesting, take a look at the operations manual for more in depth information and drop me an email, just click the button that says "Contact the Commish".

There may be a open team that requires a GM with your skill and savvy.

Thanks,

The Commissioner

WHO IS IT GOING TO BE
The League Offices release the 2009 Schedule

The league offices released the 2009 schedule today. The seasons opens up with a rematch of last years Memorial Bowl game as San Diego travels to Philadelphia. Can the Breakers make up for their performance last fall and break down the defense that held them to only 233 yards. Can the Stars and their new General Manager show the Breakers that they are still the top dog and have plans to take the league by storm this year.

We will also be watching those teams that strugled last season as they try to turn things around with new players and GM's at the helm. Teams like the Denver Gold and Michigan Panthers who both recorded their worst season in the clubs history, both teams have made major roster and front office changes. Denver and Michigan have new coachs with proven winning records. Michigan also lured away Philadelphia's GM after guiding the Stars to their second Memorial Bowl victory.

This season is shaping up to be one for the history books, can Philadelphia repeat, or can the Breakers with their new colors take home the big prize, can one of the teams that have been so strong over the last few year finally nail down the elusive big game or will they continue in there quest for the trophy, or will one of the basement dewellers from last season show the league how it's done. These are all valid questions for the upcoming season so grab a pennant, put on your favorite players jersey and cheer them on.
